God cares.

Jesus told us we would have to face problems in this world (John 16:33). He also knew we'd be tempted to allow negative thought patterns to create doubt and unbelief in our hearts. Forgetfulness and doubt in God's faithfulness can show up in many ways: anxiety and worry, depression, disobedience, anger and/or isolation.

How often have you found yourself worrying about a situation simply because you forgot the details of how the Lord came to your rescue before? How often have you returned to the same pattern of thinking because the pressures of this life lead to forgetfulness? Our loving Father knew we would forget...and He also knew we would forget to remind the next generation, who would possibly never know the truth of how He was our rescuer.

He said to the Israelites, ‘In the future when your descendants ask their parents, “What do these stones mean?” tell them, ‘Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground.’ For the LORD your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The LORD your God did to the Jordan what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. He did this so that all peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God.’

– Joshua 4:21-24 (NIV)

God gave us a solution.

Doesn't He always? The key is choosing to remember His goodness in our lives - even when it's hard. In Joshua 4, God gave the command to have twelve stones collected and placed in the very spot where he'd done a miracle for the children of Israel. The purpose was to remind them, and future generations, that it was He who came to their rescue. God is still calling us to do this and we offer a creative way!

God deserves and desires our praise.

Recognizing God's goodness in our lives and giving Him the praise (that He alone rightly deserves) is powerful! When we do this with a community of other believers, now you're talking about life changing encouragement that is hard to forget! Praistones was created for this very purpose - to give God praise, encourage ourselves AND one another!

Our tools were designed to help you reflect on His goodness and provide a way to record those moments when He “dried up the Jordan” for you.

Our hope is that you will use these tools to share His faithfulness with your friends, family and others, “so that all the people of the earth might know that the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God.”
